when it comes to browsing the web your are full equipped when you have following:
Firefox + FLASH player (Macromedia) + Java.
When having broadband it’s good thing to have Apple’s Quicktime player also, or at least it’s emulation.
And don’t forget to install one of the best Firefox extensions – Adblock Plus – which doesn’t allow web-ads to be displayed.

My favorite things in web design are
1. rounded corners (especially in menus)
2. javascript effects
a) sliding to top
b) sliding – sliding – sliding [left-right, up-down]
c) fade-in effects
3. opacity / .png images
4. well used stripes
5. grungy textures
6. fixed backgrounds
7. amazing typography
8. great photos
9. sweet and impressive logo images
10. use of ajax
